JoyMotion Golf looks to help people improve at the game of golf by using cutting edge Machine Learning technology. We want everyone to have access to the same data as a high-end coaching studio, but right on their phone.

Our three co-founders are passionate about helping people learn and improve at the game they love. We combine years of experience in our respective areas of expertise to bring you a simple, easy-to-use teaching tool to help golfers of all skill levels further master the game.

PAUL LWIN
CEO & CTO
Coder-in-Chief
Paul is a former Naval Flight Officer and Test Pilot. While in the Navy, Paul led teams developing state-of-the-art learning platforms that relied on data to help aviators improve. In addition to his leadership and project management experience, Paul has a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Master of Science in Computer Science, and an MBA from Yale School of Management.

Golf Guru
Joy is an award-winning golf instructor. She was named to the LPGA’s list Top 50 Best Teachers multiple times, most recently in 2020-2021. She was also named one of Golf Digest's Best Teachers by State (Maryland) in 2019-2020. Finally, Joy is a "fantastic player in her own right", as they say on TV, playing in the US Senior Women’s Open in 2018 and 2019.
FRANK SHAW

Golf Nut and Business Guy
Frank is a former economist at Fannie Mae, who also worked in Corporate Finance. Frank is a fellow MBA graduate of Yale School of Management. Frank and Paul were on the same small learning in business school, doing class work together long before starting a sports-tech company.
